Final deadline for obligatory assignments to qualify for the oral examination. 3/12 2018
This is an announcement for students who have not had their obligatory assignment approved. The last chance for handing in the obligatory assignment (parts 1 and 2) if you want to participate in the oral examination in January 2019 is December 16, 2018, at 23:59. Due to administrational deadlines, there will be no further retries after that (before the regular oral examination date). Thus, if your hand-in at the December 16 deadline is not of sufficient quality, you will not be eligible for the oral examination.

There will of course be an oral reexam, which is scheduled for March 25, 2019. If you want to qualify for that exam, contact me (in person or by email) regarding obligatory assignments as early as possible, and no later than during January 2019.

Classes canceled in week 44. 22/10 2018
Please note that classes are canceled in this course in week 44, i.e., on the dates October 29-30.

I recommend that you use this opportunity to get a good start on part 2 of the project. Thus, if you haven't made a contract already, I recommend that you see me as soon as possible to get that handled such that you can safely work on the project.

On making the professor happy... 20/9 2018
If you have decided that your goal this semester is to make me really happy, it could be useful to read my examples of issues that did not make me particularly happy last I taught this course. I wrote some comment on manuals, input formats, and program execution.

Here, older Ph.D. or MS students can advise you on solving programming problems. You can find them every Tuesday and Thursday, 13:00 - 15:00, in "Office 42" (Ø18-511b-2).
