Welcome to DM510 - Operating Systems (2020) at IMADA!
The course provides knowledge of the structure of computer systems, the interplay of hardware and software, the role of operating systems in this task, and the resource abstractions provided by an operating system.
Students will gain knowledge about actual operating systems, scheduling algorithms, security and protection mechanisms, file systems and process communication. Students will work on several programming assignments (system call, kernel module for a device drive, file system). The official cpurse description can be found here.

| 8. Jul. 2020: | The submission page for the assignments in order to pass the prerequistes for the re-exam in August are online (blackboard). The deadline is July 17th, 12:00 (noon) |
| 4. Jun. 2020: | The MC exam starts Monday 12:30. Exam information was i.) send out via email(s) and ii.) can be found in blackboard (technical guidance under “Course Information”). On Monday at 12:00 (sharp) there will be a Zoom meeting where you can ask technical questions. A small mock exam is already online (under E-test in blackboard). If you think you are eligible to take the exam on Monday, but you can’t see the mock exam, please contact me and our secretary (see email). |
