Getting to Odense ...

... by Plane

When travelling to Odense by air, the closest airports are the Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and the Billund Airport (BLL). It is also possible to fly to Hamburg Airport (HAM), but the train trip takes approx. 4 hours.

If you arrive via Copenhagen, tickets from the Copenhagen Airport to Odense are available from the DSB ticket office above the railway station in Terminal 3, or from ticket machines in the station area (located on the ground floor). Trains leave approx. every 10 minutes from the airport to Copenhagen, whereas trains depart for Odense approx. every 30 minutes. The journey from the Copenhagen Airport to Odense is approx. 1.5 - 2 hours. For a fast connection, try to get a "Lyn" train. For trains, use the Journey Planner.

If you arrive via Billund Airport (BLL), you need to get a bus to the city Vejle. From Vejle there are train connections to Odense. - Use the Journey Planner for this. If your flight schedule fits their timetable, you can also use the airport shuttle to Odense.

... by Train

Odense is well connected to both the national and international railway, making it easy to reach by train. The national railway is operated by the Danish Railway Company (DSB) and connects to Odense from all major towns.

When arrriving by train, take the train to Odense Station (Odense Banegård). Find the timetable and order your journey on DSB’s Journey Planner. Once the train arrives at Odense Banegård, you can travel to the university by taxi or bus. For information regarding public transportation or tickets, use the following resources:

... by Taxi

Taxis are available from the taxi rank behind the main building of Odense Banegård Center (railway station). Look for the signs at the railway station. The journey from the railway station to The University of Southern Denmark takes about 15 minutes.

... by Bus

Buses number 41 and 42 travel directly to The University of Southern Denmark. Both buses depart from Odense Station. For information on tickets and timetables, visit Fynbus, the local bus company. A single ride costs DKK 19 while a day ticket costs DKK 40.

During the conference, there will be a shuttle bus connecting the city centre to the university. The shuttle bus will depart from the Radisson HCA Hotel (see map).

... by Car

From Sweden or Copenhagen: Follow Freeway E20 and exit the freeway at the junction of Freeway E20 and Freeway 9 (approximately 10 km after Exit 47). Drive towards Odense (approx. 5 km) and turn left onto "Niels Bohrs Allé". Continue for approximately 0.5 km and turn left down "Campusvej".

From Jutland: Follow Freeway E20 and exit the freeway at the junction of Freeway E20 and Freeway 9 (approx. 4 km after Exit 50). Drive towards Odense (approx. 5 km) and turn left onto "Niels Bohrs Allé". Continue for approx. 0.5 km and turn left down "Campusvej".
